History
The National Viral Hepatitis Roundtable began on December 7, 2003 at
its inaugural meeting. The Roundtable, a coalition of numerous advocacy
organizations, government agencies, insurers, and others developed
from the hard work of representatives of 25 organizations who met periodically
throughout 2003 to establish a blueprint by which the NVHR could operate.
While all of these organizations have dedicated themselves to the creation
of the NVHR, much of the inspiration and leadership came from the following
founding organizations, the Hepatitis Foundation International, the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the National Alliance
of State and Territorial AIDS Directors.
