The National Viral Hepatitis Roundtable (NVHR) is a coalition of more than 200 public private and voluntary organizations dedicated to reducing the incidence of infection, morbidity and mortality from viral hepatitis in the United States. NVHR facilitates national networking, partnership development and capacity-building to improve viral hepatitis programs. Members work together to increase awareness, education, and resources for an improved federal response to viral hepatitis.

Networking and Partnership Development

NVHR is committed to bringing together hepatitis B and hepatitis C advocates to form a stronger and united national response to the viral hepatitis epidemic in the United States. NVHR networks and partners with coalitions, community based organizations, national associations, and corporations to build a unified voice on viral hepatitis issues.

Capacity-Building

NVHR hosts meetings, conference calls, webinars, and develops fact sheets, newsletters, and action alerts to keep our members up to date on the issues and advocacy strategies.

Policy Priorities

NVHR advocates for policies to improve the existing public health infrastructure in the United States to:

  • Eliminate vaccine preventable viral hepatitis
  • Counsel, test and refer persons at risk for viral hepatitis to appropriate care and services
  • Research improved treatments for hepatitis B and C and a vaccine to prevent hepatitis C
